Closets are being decluttered, drawers are being emptied, bag after bag of trash is going to the dump, and there is a growing pile of stuff destined for Goodwill.
This summer cleaning is quite satisfying!
However, I did end up keeping two pieces that didn't sell from last weekend's Vintage Market.
The formerly schoolbus-yellow coffee table is now in my living room since we've been without a coffee table for quite some time. I was reading the latest Sookie Stackhouse book over the weekend and needed a place to prop my feet. Once I moved the coffee table over to the rug, it just worked and now I like having it there. I need another horizontal surface to decorate on anyway...ha!
And the pickled oak bowfront dresser didn't find a new home. I'll admit, I wasn't too disappointed that it didn't sell.
And then my husband kept telling me about how great it'd look in the guest bedroom...so...that's where it now resides.
Since I am trying to stay true to the spirit of this purge
