Hey, Local Peeps

I'm purging at my house this week.

Closets are being decluttered, drawers are being emptied, bag after bag of trash is going to the dump, and there is a growing pile of stuff destined for Goodwill.

This summer cleaning is quite satisfying!

However, I did end up keeping two pieces that didn't sell from last weekend's Vintage Market

The formerly schoolbus-yellow coffee table is now in my living room since we've been without a coffee table for quite some time.  I was reading the latest Sookie Stackhouse book over the weekend and needed a place to prop my feet.  Once I moved the coffee table over to the rug, it just worked and now I like having it there.  I need another horizontal surface to decorate on anyway...ha!

And the pickled oak bowfront dresser didn't find a new home. I'll admit,  I wasn't too disappointed that it didn't sell.

And then my husband kept telling me about how great it'd look in the guest bedroom...so...that's where it now resides.

Since I am trying to stay true to the spirit of this purge despite my husband undermining me, I've listed a few other pieces on Craigslist to make way for the new stuff--and I thought they might be of interest to local readers.

And I can't decide whether this is tacky, but I still have enough knicky knacky stuff left over from the Vintage Market that I was thinking of just offering it to y'all here on the blog.  I know I should probably just set up an Etsy shop, but I'm lazy focused on purging at the moment.

Anybody interested in a virtual yard sale? :)

  1. I love your coffee table...your entire living room! Just my style. The dresser is very cute, too. Good luck purging and selling. I'm afraid I live too far to buy anything.

  2. Erin,

A few of us have had on line yard sales and they've been successful. I say go for it!

  3. Ooooh, that coffee table looks fab in your living room. SO pretty!!! Um, yes, please! I would LOVE a virtual garage sale :)

Thank you for taking the time stop by and say hello! I enjoy reading each and every comment left at Carolina Country Living.
